Opportunities occur to join this co-operative of artists running a gallery
in Lockerbie. The artists, both amateur and professional, show a wide range
of paintings, drawings and prints, plus jewellery and other craftwork.
The co-operative was formed in October 2010, initially to run the gallery
only until Christmas, but it proved so successful that it was decided to continue
indefinitely. Members mind the gallery on a rota basis, usually on a total
of four days or eight half-days in a ten-week period.
The High Street gallery, owned by photographer George Porteous, whose work
is also on show, is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10am to 4pm,
Tuesday and Saturday 10am to 1pm.
